#2020 Making History #Lockdown #Calm
Fight or flight mode in our brains, create neurological chaos if it lasts too long.
Stress is good for us. It helps us focus and in a situation of danger, it could save our lives. However, our bodies are not made for continuous amounts of stress. Too much Cortisol causes toxic reactions and hormone imbalance.
Humans don’t cope well with the uncertainties and overload of information we are dealing with at this time.
Limit the amount of time spend on information.
While staying informed, keep your balance.
Spreading fear and anxiety is not useful at any time, more so during this time.
Verify the video clips and information and discard the fake news.
Focus on family and relationships
Now is the time to cherish every moment
Your family may not remember all the details of this time during the Lockdown, but they will remember how you supported each other, and the fun you had.
Laughter is the best medicine
Laugh at yourself.
See the Flip-side of the coin:
Ever heard of ‘school being cancelled’?
Develop new skills
The business and candidates who worked on developing new skills during these times, will grow and benefit from this time.
Be kind to yourself. We have never experienced anything like this.
It’s okay to be scared, but we take care of ourselves and each other.
History is made
In a year’s time our reminders on Facebook will pop-up, and remind us of these strange days.
Our kids will tell their kids about it.
One step at a time
By keeping calm and taking it one step at a time, one day at a time, this too shall pass...
