We are on the look-out for an enthusiastic individual who has a passion for current digital marketing trends and creating valuable content.  They must also have a great eye for design and be able to write quality, engaging posts and copy.  In addition to this, they must have a knowledge of designing in InDesign and WordPress back-end experience

Your role will include, and not be limited to: 

• Collaborating with the Marketing Director and different teams to produce fresh and exciting content for our social media channels and websites.

• Ensuring that all content is of high-quality, informative and engaging. 

• Updating our corporate websites, e-commerce, portal and catalogues (digital and hard-copy) with new products and content, and ensuring that they are all kept up to date.

• The editing and resizing of product images for the website and company portal, as well as the cataloguing of these images.

• The monitoring and analysing of website and social media analytics to track engagement and conversion rates, and placing this analysis in reports for the marketing director.

• The creation of content calendars for the month, for all three businesses.

Salary : R30,000 CTC

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

The potential staff member would be responsible for the development, troubleshooting and maintenance of Windows Forms applications and web services as well as the deployment of some of the web and platform services. A strong sense of ownership and responsibility is necessary, and the candidate should be able to work on their own without requiring micromanagement.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Windows Forms development.

• Web Service development.

• Translating client data supplied in various formats to interface with Company SystemA data structure.

• Adding functionality to existing web and forms projects as per industry requirements.

• Installation, configuration and maintenance of IIS based sites and services.

• Firm knowledge of MS SQL, VB.NET and C# is required.

• Experience in data security, data validation and data integrity are vital.

• Basic understanding of Windows server infrastructure and networking would be advantages.

• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.

• Participate in code reviews to ensure that code meets coding standards and is free of defects.

Qualifications:  

 

• NQF 4 or Grade 12 / Matric (National Senior Certificate) and National (vocational) Cert. level 4

• Microsoft Solution Developer Certification; Web Applications (MCSD: Web Applications)

• Valid Driver’s License

Experience: 

• 3+ years of C# and/or VB.NET development experience is a minimum requirement; the applicant must be self-sufficient and willing to go the extra mile.

Skills: 

• Advanced experience using Visual Studio and Source Code management tools such as DevOps TFS and Microsoft SQL experience 

• Excellent verbal and written communication 

• Organized and able to meet deadlines 

• Must be an adept trouble shooter and debugger, able to assess and resolve issues on their own

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
